Herman Finkers
the netherlands - CABaRET/surreal comedy
He, - ik hier ? (ho, me ?)
One of the Netherlands most remarkable and famous cabaretiers. With the use of his friendly dry-witted humour, reversed logic and ambigious style of storytelling Herman Finkers plays with his audience. He makes use of both musical numbers as well as a large number of visual gags. His most important rule is that in a story the moral of the story should never be in the way of a good joke or a pun. His humour is never at the expense of other, except maybe for his brother and his wife. He is thus largely apolitical.
Herman Finks leads you on a strange path of mental connections, often making you wondering your own mind. Remarkable also is his way of playing with language. Really one of the best comedians available.
