Milton Jones
England - Word play comedy
"If they make it illegal to wear the veil at work, bee keepers are going to be furious"
Milton jones’ comedy is based not on the profound or anything of such a nature but focuses more on the day to day mundane things in Life. Jones’s standup is all about the one-liners, he rarely develops stories in his routines, preferring multiple short jokes. Whilst this does limit the range of jokes told by Jones, it takes nothing away from what he tells. His jokes are often based on word place as he exposes the double meanings of words which can often mean the audience takes a second to realise the joke. This has a slight influence on his delivery, which can be a little slow at times. However this is how Jones tells jokes and it works for his style of comedy especially when added to his wild hair and unusual facial expression which all complete his routine. Jones’s comedy is for all ages but perhaps to fully grasp the joke a competent knowledge of the English language may be needed in his word play jokes. There is no doubt though that Jones is brilliant at what the does, he has his own unique style suitable for all ages that will inevitably bring about laughs.
