Jerry Seinfeld
U.S.A. - Observational Comedy
"According to most studies, people's number one fear is public speaking. Number two is death. Death is number two. Does that sound right? This means to the average person, if you go to a funeral, you're better off in the casket than doing the eulogy"
He is the purest observational comic. Jerry Seinfeld is mostly known for Seinfeld (1989-1998) which he co-wrote with Larry David and acted as the protagonist. His observation power is such that he sees comedy in regular stuff like objects, language, social moments and relationships. His act consists, mostly, of pointing out his view of a subject and show how funny it is by acting out the situation in a very slight hyperbolic. It's a simple method that works fantastically for him. Seinfeld is also known for his filth free act. No swear words are used because, has he points out in HBO's Talking Funny, "i just never found the comedy in it". He now has a new internet show called "comedians in cars getting coffee".
